The concluding ceremony of Advanced Communicative English Course, supervised by Ministry of Hotels and Tourism and organized by Myanmar Hoteliers Association (Nay Pyi Taw Zone), took place at Amara Hotel here at 5:00pm on 2 Feb with an address by Deputy Minister U Htay Aung.
Delivering a speech at the ceremony, deputy minister said that English is a Global Language and everyone skillful in English language can keep up with the other foreign countries. Nowadays, Nay Pyi Taw as the capital city, national level meetings, joint meetings with foreign countries, workshops and conferences are held continuously in the city and accordingly effective communication with international and regional associations is of great important. He added that this training tends to polish up the skills and abilities of ministry personnel and hotel staff in Nay Pyi Taw hotel zone more than they had before. He highlighted that to study a language, a great enthusiasm and regular practices are indispensable and one can be proficient by doing these systematically. He urged the trainees to be trustworthy and good staff for their respective fields by upgrading and updating their skills and abilities for the reason that they have systematically learnt methods and methodologies of studying from foreign trainers.
Next, the deputy minister awarded prizes to four outstanding trainees and honorable gifts to trainers Ms Linda Doeden and Ms Aleta Loftis of USA English Language Institute, Fort Collins, Colorado.
After that, General Manager U Han Htun presented completion certificates to trainees who had completed the course through a trainee. Later, the trainees demonstrated their English language proficiency and the ceremony came to an end.
