Joint Steering Committee Meeting on Sustainable Tourism Development Project was organized on the second floor of Nan Myint Viewing Tower in Bagan on November 28.
The meeting was chaired by H.E. U Aung Zaw Win, Director General of the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism. About 20 officials and experts of the national tourism organizations of Cambodia, China, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam attended the meeting.
U Aung Zaw Win and Mr Steven Schipani, Social Sector Specialist of Asian Development Bank (ADB) made opening remarks at the meeting and Vietnam and Lao PDR reported the progress of STDP projects in their countries.
Mr Steven Schipani said that they would provide the tourism development project on Myanmar and other GMS countries.
