Coordination meeting (4/2012) of the committee for the facilitating the convenient entering for the foreign visitors held at the Jade Hall of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism at (12:00) noon today.
Chairman of the committee, Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism and for Sports U Tint Hsan attended the meeting. Together with the Union Minister, Vice chairman of the committee, Deputy Ministry of Hotels and Tourism U Htay Aung, Secretary and members of the committee authorities from region and state governments. Chairmen from Myanmar Tourism Board, Myanmar Hotelier Association, Union of Myanmar Travel Association and Myanmar Marketing Committee, reporters from local news agencies and invited guests.
In the meeting, Chairman of the committee, Union Minister U Tint Hsan delivered the opening statement. In his statement Union Minister said Ministry of Hotels and Tourism has targeted to reach the 1.4 million visitors after completion the first five years national plan starting from 2011-12 to 2015-16. In this context, the ministry has laid down the four objectives for the systematic development of the tourism industry in Myanmar. Union Minister also said human resource development plays the major role in service sector like hotel and tourism. Under the auspices of Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, hotel receptionist course, housekeeping course, food and beverage service course and food and beverage production course are being conducted in hotel zones.
Customer service course for restaurants and tour guide (basic) course are also open in need of tourism and the local guide service are also encouraging.
Under the supervision of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism and arrangement of the private training schools, the training courses were opened 17 times so far in region and states and continuity of the opening of the training has been carried out.
Regarding the development of the tourist destinations, projects are being implemented to facilitate the smooth entering of the foreign visitors in Bagan Zone, Yangon Zone, Mandalay Zone and Taunggyi Zone. Efforts are being made to provide the convenient transportation in reasonable prices and sufficient hotel rooms in proper appearance and higher service. Discovering the new tourist spots and maintaining the existing destinations are also being carried out.
Firstly, arrangements are being made to form the transportation group in which government and public are unify to improve the transportation for foreign visitors in Bagan. The similar groups will also be formed in Yangon, Taunggyi and Inle very soon. For seeking the smooth visitation of the tourists and to provide the necessary travel information and assistance, (12) tourist information counters were opened as first phase in Yangon International Airport and border gates and another (11) counters will be opened as second phase in near future.
Improvement of tourism in Nga Pa Li, Ngwe Saung, Chaung Tha and Mrauk U, cooperation are being made with ministry concerned to upgrade the airports, roads and to fulfill the electricity requirement. For the security matter, tourist police were formed by the assistance of Ministry of Home affairs. Billboard “Warmly Welcome and Take Care of Tourists” were erected in major tourist spots in regions and states.
Star grading tasks for hotels had initiated in June 2011 and now 242 hotels (13709 rooms) out of 744 hotels (25636 rooms) were standardized in star. The low grade hotels are being encouraged to transform the international standard hotel to operate in full capacity. According to the increase number of tourists, new hotel projects must be implemented as the number of hotels in major tourist spots are still need to extend.
To facilitate the smooth entering of the foreign visitors, E-visa system was commissioned by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Communication, Post and Telegraph, Ministry of Immigration and Population and Ministry of Hotels and Tourism in cooperation with Myanmar Ease Net Co., Ltd.
Ministry of Hotels and Tourism has the permission from the President Office to initiate the E-visa system in step by step basis in tourist visa, business visa, social visa and other visa to scrutinize in advance for security measures.
The more investment receives from local and abroad, the more job opportunities can be grasped. So, uplift of rural development, poverty alleviation and national development can also be done. Union Minister urged all are need to actively participate in the process.
After that, vice chairman of the committee, Deputy Minister U Htay Aung discussed the ongoing tasks of the committee.
At the end of the meeting, Union Minister, Deputy Minister and Director General from Ministry of Immigration and population answered the queries raised by the reporters.

ပထမဦးဆံုးအေနျဖင့္ ပုဂံေဒသတြင္ ႏိုင္ငံျခားသားဧည့္သည္မ်ား အဆင္ေျပေခ်ာေမြ႕စြာသြားလာ လည္ပတ္ႏိုင္ေစေရးအတြက္ ဌာနဆိုင္ရာႏွင့္ ပုဂၢလိကမ်ားပါ၀င္သည့္ အဖြဲ႕အစည္းပံုစံ (ကား၊ ျမင္းလွည္း၊ ေရယာဥ္) ပို႕ေဆာင္ေရးယာဥ္လိုင္းအျဖစ္ ဖြဲ႕စည္းထူေထာင္ရန္ စီစဥ္ေဆာင္ရြက္ လ်က္ရိွေၾကာင္း၊ ရန္ကုန္၊ ေတာင္ႀကီး၊ အင္းေလးတို႕ကိုလည္း ဆက္လက္ေဆာင္ရြက္ သြားမွာျဖစ္ၿပီး ႏိုင္ငံျခားသားခရီးသြားဧည့္သည္မ်ား အဆင္ေျပလြယ္ကူစြာ ၀င္ေရာက္ လည္ပတ္ႏိုင္ေစေရး လိုအပ္သည့္သတင္းအခ်က္အလက္မ်ား ပံ့ပိုးေပးရန္ႏွင့္ အခက္အခဲမ်ား ကူညီေျဖရွင္းေပးရန္၊ Tourist Information Counter မ်ားကို ဇုန္နယ္ေျမအပိုင္းလိုက္ခြဲ၍ ႏိုင္ငံ တကာေလဆိပ္မ်ားႏွင့္ နယ္စပ္၀င္ေပါက္မ်ားပါမက်န္ ပထမအဆင့္ အေနျဖင့္ Tourist Information Counter (၁၂)ခုကို ဖြင့္လွစ္ၿပီး၊ က်န္(၁၁)ခုကိုလည္း ထပ္မံတိုးခ်ဲ႕ ဖြင့္လွစ္ရန္ စီစဥ္ေဆာင္ရြက္လ်က္ရိွ ပါေၾကာင္း ေျပာၾကားသည္။
ဆက္လက္၍ ျပည္ေထာင္စု၀န္ႀကီးက ေျပာၾကားရာတြင္ ငပလီ၊ ေငြေဆာင္၊ ေျမာက္ဦး၊ ေခ်ာင္းသာ ဟိုတယ္ဇုန္မ်ားအတြက္ ခရီးသြားလုပ္ငန္းတိုးတက္ေစရန္ လွ်ပ္စစ္မီးရရိွေရး၊ လမ္းမ်ားေကာင္း မြန္ေရး၊ ေလဆိပ္မ်ားအဆင့္ျမွင့္တင္ေရးတို႕ကို သက္ဆိုင္ရာ၀န္ႀကီးဌာနမ်ား၊ ျပည္နယ္/တိုင္းေဒသႀကီး အစိုးရအဖြဲ႕တို႕ႏွင့္ ညွိႏႈိင္းပူးေပါင္းေဆာင္ရြက္လ်က္ရိွပါေၾကာင္း၊ ႏိုင္ငံျခားသားမ်ားလံုၿခံဳေရးအတြက္ Tourist Police မ်ား ဖြဲ႕စည္းေဆာင္ရြက္ႏိုင္ေစေရးအတြက္ ျပည္ထဲေရး၀န္ႀကီးဌာနႏွင့္ ညိွႏႈိင္းေဆာင္ရြက္လ်က္ရိွၿပီး “ႏိုင္ငံျခားသား ခရီးသြားဧည့္သည္မ်ားကို ကူညီပါ”ဆိုင္းဘုတ္မ်ား ကိုလည္း ျပည္နယ္ႏွင့္တိုင္းေဒသႀကီးမ်ားရိွ ႏိုင္ငံျခားသားမ်ားသြားေရာက္ လည္ပတ္ေလ့ ရိွေသာ ေနရာေဒသမ်ားတြင္ စိုက္ထူထားၿပီးလည္းျဖစ္ပါ ေၾကာင္း။
ဟိုတယ္မ်ားအဆင့္အတန္းျမင့္မားေရးအတြက္ ၾကယ္ပြင့္အဆင့္သတ္မွတ္ျခင္းကို ၂၀၁၁ ခုႏွစ္ ဇူလိုင္လမွစတင္၍ေဆာင္ရြက္ခဲ့ရာ ယခုအခါ၌ ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံရိွ ဟိုတယ္(၇၄၄)လံုး၊ အခန္း (၂၅၆၃၆)ခန္း ရိွသည့္အနက္ ဟိုတယ္(၂၄၂)လံုး၊ အိပ္ခန္း (၁၃၇၀၉)ခန္းအား ၾကယ္ပြင့္အဆင့္အတန္း သတ္မွတ္ေပးႏိုင္ ခဲ့ပါေၾကာင္း၊ ရန္ကုန္ၿမိဳ႕၌ ၾကယ္ပြင့္အဆင့္မရေသးေသာ ဟိုတယ္မ်ားအေနျဖင့္ ၾကယ္ပြင့္အဆင့္ ရရိွ ေအာင္ ႀကိဳးပမ္းေဆာင္ရြက္ရန္ တိုက္တြန္းအားေပးျခင္း၊ ျပည္ပဧည့္သည္ တည္းခိုလက္ခံႏိုင္ေရး အတြက္ လက္ရိွဟိုတယ္အခန္းမ်ားကို အဆင့္ျမွင့္မြမ္းမံ၍ စြမ္းအားျပည့္လုပ္ငန္းလည္ပတ္ႏိုင္ေစရန္လည္း တြန္းအားေပးဆြဲေဆာင္ စည္းရံုးေဆာင္ရြက္လ်က္ရိွပါေၾကာင္း။
ႏိုင္ငံတကာအဆင့္မီဟိုတယ္စီမံကိန္းမ်ား ေဖာ္ထုတ္ေဆာင္ရြက္မည့္ အေျခအေနႏွင့္ပတ္သက္၍ လက္ရိွကာလတြင္ ရန္ကုန္တိုင္းေဒသႀကီး၌ ဟိုတယ္(၁၉၀)လံုး၊ အခန္းေပါင္း(၈၀၅၃)ခန္း၊ မႏၱေလးတိုင္း ေဒသႀကီးတြင္ ဟိုတယ္ (၇၆)လံုး၊ အခန္းေပါင္း (၃၂၇၀)ခန္း၊ ပုဂံေဒသတြင္ ဟိုတယ္ (၇၅)လံုး၊ အခန္း ေပါင္း (၂၀၇၆)ခန္း၊ ေတာင္ႀကီး-အင္းေလးေဒသတြင္ ဟိုတယ္(၅၉)လံုး၊ အခန္းေပါင္း (၁၄၈၀)ခန္းသာ ရိွသျဖင့္ လက္ရိွတိုးတက္၀င္ေရာက္လာေသာ ဧည့္သည္အေရအတြက္အရ ဟိုတယ္မ်ားထပ္မံတိုးခ်ဲ႕ တည္ေဆာက္ရန္ လိုအပ္လ်က္ရွိေနပါေၾကာင္း။
ႏိုင္ငံျခားဧည့္သည္ႏွင့္ ကမၻာလွည့္ခရီးသည္မ်ား အဆင္ေျပလြယ္ကူေစေရးအတြက္ အျခားႏိုင္ငံ မ်ားနည္းတူ Online System ျဖင့္ E-visa စနစ္ကို စမ္းသပ္ေဆာင္ရြက္ႏိုင္ရန္အတြက္ လုပ္ငန္းေဆာင္ရြက္မည့္အဖြဲ႕အား ႏိုင္ငံျခားဧည့္သည္၀င္ေရာက္မႈ အဆင္ေျပလြယ္ကူေရးေကာ္မတီ အဖြဲ႕၀င္မ်ားျဖစ္ၾကသည့္ ျပည္ထဲေရး၀န္ႀကီးဌာန (သတင္းတပ္ဖြဲ႕) ၊ ႏိုင္ငံျခားေရး၀န္ႀကီးဌာန၊ ဆက္သြယ္ေရး၊ စာတိုက္ႏွင့္ ေၾကးနန္း၀န္ႀကီးဌာန၊ လူ၀င္မႈႀကီးၾကပ္ေရးႏွင့္ ျပည္သူ႕အင္အား၀န္ႀကီးဌာန၊ ဟိုတယ္ႏွင့္ခရီးသြားလာေရး လုပ္ငန္း၀န္ႀကီးဌာနမ်ားျဖင့္ ပူးေပါင္းဖြဲ႕စည္းေဆာင္ရြက္ေစခဲ့ၿပီး E-visa စနစ္ေဆာင္ရြက္ရန္ Myanmar Ease Net ကုမၸဏီကို တာ၀န္ေပးအပ္ခဲ့ပါေၾကာင္း။
၀န္ႀကီးဌာနအေနျဖင့္ E-visa စနစ္ စတင္စမ္းသပ္ေဆာင္ရြက္ခြင့္ကိစၥရပ္မ်ားႏွင့္ ပတ္သက္၍ ႏိုင္ငံေတာ္သမၼတရံုးသို႕ ႏိုင္ငံျခားဧည့္သည္မ်ား ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံသို႕လာေရာက္ရာတြင္ လံုၿခံဳမႈအရ ႀကိဳတင္စစ္ေဆး ၾကည့္ရႈၿပီးမွ ခြင့္ျပဳေပးႏိုင္သည့္ အီလက္ထေရာနစ္စနစ္အား အေျခခံေသာ ျပည္၀င္ ခြင့္ဗီဇာပံုစံ E-visa ကို စမ္းသပ္ေဆာင္ရြက္သည့္အခါ ပထမအဆင့္ ကမၻာလွည့္ခရီးသည္ ဗီဇာ၊ ဒုတိယအဆင့္ လုပ္ငန္းဗီဇာ၊ တတိယအဆင့္ လူမႈေရးဗီဇာ၊ စတုတၳအဆင့္ အျခားဗီဇာျဖင့္ ေဆာင္ရြက္သြားမည္ ျဖစ္ေၾကာင္း၊ ထိုသို႕ေဆာင္ရြက္ရာတြင္ E-visa မ်ားအား အဆင္ေျပေခ်ာေမြ႕စြာ ေဆာင္ရြက္ႏိုင္ရန္အတြက္ သက္ဆိုင္ရာ၀န္ႀကီးဌာနမ်ားႏွင့္ ညိွႏႈိင္းေဆာင္ရြက္ေပး ပါရန္ တင္ျပခဲ့ျခင္းအေပၚ Tourist Visa ကို အရင္စမ္းသပ္လုပ္ကိုင္ရန္ ခြင့္ျပဳခ်က္ရရိွခဲ့ၿပီးလည္းျဖစ္ ပါေၾကာင္း။
ဟိုတယ္ႏွင့္ခရီးသြားလာေရးလုပ္ငန္းမ်ားေၾကာင့္ ျပည္တြင္း ျပည္ပရင္းႏွီးျမွဳပ္ႏွံမႈမ်ား တိုးတက္လာ သည္ႏွင့္အမွ် အလုပ္အကိုင္အခြင့္အလမ္းမ်ား တိုးျမွင့္ရရိွလာႏိုင္မည္ျဖစ္ရာ ေက်းလက္ေဒသဖြံ႕ၿဖိဳးေရး၊ ဆင္းရဲႏြမ္းပါးမႈေလ်ာ့ခ်ေရး၊ ႏိုင္ငံေတာ္ဖြံ႕ၿဖိဳးတိုးတက္ေရးတို႕အတြက္ အေထာက္အကူျပဳေဆာင္ရြက္ေပး လ်က္ရိွသျဖင့္ မိမိတို႕ႏွင့္သက္ဆိုင္သည့္ က်ရာအခန္းက႑မ်ားမွ ပူးေပါင္းကူညီေဆာင္ရြက္ေပး ၾကေစလို ေၾကာင္းျဖင့္ ေျပာၾကားသည္။
ယင္းေနာက္ ေကာ္မတီဒုတိယဥကၠဌ ဒုတိယ၀န္ႀကီး ဦးေဌးေအာင္က ေကာ္မတီ၏ လုပ္ငန္း ေဆာင္ရြက္ ခ်က္မ်ားႏွင့္စပ္လ်ဥ္း၍ ရွင္းလင္းေဆြးေႏြးတင္ျပသည္။
ထို႕ေနာက္ အစည္းအေ၀းသို႕တက္ေရာက္သတင္းရယူၾကသည့္ ျပည္တြင္းသတင္းမီဒီယာ မ်ား က ႏိုင္ငံျခားဧည့္သည္၀င္ေရာက္မႈ အဆင္ေျပလြယ္ကူေရးေကာ္မတီ၏ လုပ္ငန္းအေကာင္ အထည္ေဖာ္ ေဆာင္ရြက္ေနမႈမ်ားအေပၚ သိရိွလိုသည္မ်ားကိုေမးျမန္းရာ ႏိုင္ငံျခားဧည့္သည္၀င္ေရာက္မႈ အဆင္ေျပ လြယ္ကူေရးေကာ္မတီ ဥကၠဌ ျပည္ေထာင္စု၀န္ႀကီး ဦးတင့္ဆန္း၊ ေကာ္မတီ ဒုတိယဥကၠဌ ဒုတိယ၀န္ႀကီး ဦးေဌးေအာင္ႏွင့္ ေကာ္မတီအဖြဲ႕၀င္ လူ၀င္မႈႀကီးၾကပ္ေရးႏွင့္ ျပည္သူ႕အင္းအားဦးစီးဌာန ညႊန္ၾကားေရးမွဴး ခ်ဳပ္တို႕မွ ျပန္လည္ရွင္းလင္းေျဖၾကားခဲ့ေၾကာင္း သတင္းရရိွသည္။
